If you are unsure how much information you need
to backup, it is very easy to find out. Open Windows
Explorer (Start > Programs > Accessories
> Windows Explorer) and right click on
the directory you want to backup. Select properties
and you will see the total size of the directory
displayed in a dialogue box.
If the directory is large it may take a few moments
to add up.
EXAMPLE: This directory has 1.89 gigabytes
of data in it to be backed up. Do the same thing
with the other directories to be backed up.
Adding them together gives the total amount
of information to be backed up right now.
Given that this sample client has almost 2 gigabytes
of data to be backed up, we would suggest setting
the account size at 3 gigabytes. This will hold
the data now stored in the directory and the new
information that will need to be backed up in
the coming year. After registering your user name
and password you can log into the PCFort website
select your account size and payment method.
It is possible to upgrade your account at any
time. It is also possible to delete old data from
your PCFort backup to conserve backup space.
